Yes, Decora Smart Wi-Fi works with August Wi-Fi Locks and Yale Assure locks with the upgrade kit.
Getting Started
August, Yale and Leviton have free apps to control locks and lights. This application note will show how to add lighting control based on using the August Auto-unlock feature.
The Yale Assure Locks and Levers locks can be upgraded to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with the Upgrade Kit (AYR202-CBA-KIT). Both August and Yale use the August app.
Before starting, you will need to create a My Leviton Activity that will control the lights when you auto-unlock the door. For more information on My Leviton Activities please refer to the article "What Is An Activity?"
Connecting Cloud Services
Open the My Leviton app and choose the menu icon in the lower right corner:
From the menu, choose Integrations:
Scroll down to August and choose Integrate:
Enter the user name and password for your August account:
August requires 2-factor security, you will be notified, enter the 2-factor code:
The August integration allows information to pass between Leviton and August.
Accept the privacy notification:
Press Open to return to the My Leviton app:
The My Levtion app will show the available locks from the August app.
- Choose a My Leviton Activity to run when the door is Auto-unlocked
- Auto-unlock includes using the pin pad or app
- The My Leviton Activity will not run if the door is unlocked from the interior knob
Once saved you will be shown a success message:
After the initial connection a new option will show on the Integration screen. Choosing Configure will allow you to change the Activity that runs when the door is Auto-unlocked.
