Yes! Using the My Leviton app, you can create schedules to enable and disable when the motion sensor on the D2MSD is activated to turn the connected light(s) on/off. You can think of it as scheduling a motion snooze. Snoozing temporarily disables your device’s motion sensor.
This can be used so that the D2MSD only turns the connected light(s) on/off during certain hours when motion is detected. It can also be used to disable the motion sensor so that it doesn't interfere with schedules used to turn the connected light(s) on/off.
In order to create a motion schedule for a D2MSD:
- The D2MSD must be running firmware version 1.6.6 or later
- The My Leviton app must be 3.57 or later
To create a Motion Schedule:
1. Select the plus sign icon on the bottom toolbar.
2. Choose Schedule and then select Motion Schedule.
- There are several Schedule Types. Only supported Schedule Types will be displayed, based on the devices that you have in your My Leviton Residence.
3. Select the D2MSD to be scheduled, and then select Enabled or Disabled.
- Select Disabled to disable the motion sensor during the schedule timeframe, or Enabled to enable the motion sensor during the scheduled timeframe.
4. Choose the Start Time (specific Time, Sunrise, or Sunset) to Enable/Disable the motion sensor.
- If you choose Sunrise or Sunset, you will have the option to choose a time frame before or after sunrise or sunset.
- Note, when you created the Residence, you were asked for an address. The location information is used to determine the correct times for sunrise/sunset.
5. Tap End Time and choose a time in which the sensor's function is reverted.
- Setting the End Time is required.
- As with the Start Time, you can have a specific Time, Sunset, or Sunrise.
6. With the Start Time and End Time set:
- Choose the days that the schedule will run by selecting the days, by tapping Repeat.
- Select Every Day, Weekdays, Weekends, or tap the specific days for the schedule to run.
- When complete, tap Next.
7. Enter a Schedule Name and then press Finish.
8. The schedule is then displayed.
- The schedule can be enabled and disabled using the switch next to the schedule.
Note: Your schedule will continue to run even if you experience an interruption with your Internet. When a Decora Smart Wi-Fi device connects to the My Leviton Cloud Service, it receives current time, the location's time for sunrise/sunset, and schedules. As long as power remains, the schedules programmed via the My Leviton App will continue to run even if the Internet service is lost.
