Decora Smart Wi-Fi, Smart GFCI, Smart Load Center (LDATA/LWHEM), and Smart EV Series devices (hereinafter referred to as "My Leviton Connected Wi-Fi Devices"), require an always on high-speed internet connection (Personal Hotspots are not supported), and a mobile device running Android 6.0 or iOS 11, or higher. The My Leviton app supports app updates for mobile devices that are running an OS version that has been released within the last 5 years (currently Android 10 and iOS 13).
My Leviton Connected Wi-Fi Devices will work with nearly all Wi-Fi installations, including Wi-Fi
802.11 a/b/g/n. Wi-Fi security must be WPA or WPA2. WEP security is not supported.
Decora Smart Wi-Fi devices use the following outbound network ports, and they cannot be filtered or blocked (they must remain open):
8883 TCP
443 TCP
123 UDP (Network Time): Necessary for schedules to run
The My Leviton app can manage the following number of devices/options (maximum), per My Leviton Residence:
- Decora Smart Wi-Fi and/or Smart GFCI, combined: 99
- D2SCS and/or DW4BC, combined: 10
- Smart Load Center (LDATA/LWHEM, combined): 7
- My Leviton Rooms: 50
- My Leviton Room Scenes: 50
- Schedules: 50
- Activities: 50
A My Leviton account can have up to 20 My Leviton Residences.
The number of My Leviton Connected Wi-Fi Devices supported by the Wi-Fi network is determined by the networking equipment, including the wireless access points and router. Larger systems should focus on higher performing, managed, or possibly mesh based systems. The My Leviton Connected Wi-Fi Devices were engineered and tested for a target Residence of 99 devices or fewer.
