When installing 2 Leviton Load Centers with Smart Breakers, an LWHEM (or LDATA) must be installed in each panel and they are set up one at a time. Each Leviton Smart Breaker has a built in radio that communicates with either the Leviton Whole Home Energy Monitor (LWHEM) or LDATA Data Hub. When Load Centers are mounted next to each other it is possible for breakers to be paired with the wrong interface. To ensure this does not happen it is essential to power only 1 panel at a time. Use the main breaker to power only one panel, the second panel must be off. Complete the pairing process for the first panel and switch, power the second panel and turn the first panel off. Once all breakers are paired both panels can be powered.
Note turning off individual Smart Breakers is not sufficient to prevent enrollment to the wrong interface, a breaker can communicate even when the breaker is in the off position.
