The DWVAA behaves like most other Alexa enabled products. It supports a feature called ESP (Echo Spatial Perception). ESP is designed to allow multiple Alexa enabled devices to work together to know which one heard you the best when you issue a voice command. Based on that determination, the Amazon Alexa service then decides which Amazon Alexa enabled device to have respond to your voice inquiry. The ESP feature uses the Amazon cloud to review the strength and clarity of each device that can hear your voice.
To work properly there are 3 main considerations. First, all of the Alexa devices must support the ESP feature. Second, all of the Alexa devices must be on the same Amazon Alexa account. Finally, all Alexa devices must have a stable, reliable Wi-Fi and internet connection to react quickly enough to your voice commands.
