The DW4BC and D2SCS Controllers features the ability to configure each button to run an activity, toggle a light, control multiple lights, switch between the Home and Away modes, or trigger an IFTTT event. Before starting it is recommended Check and update the firmware on your Decora Smart® Wi-Fi device.
Start by selecting your Controller from the Home Screen:
From the control interface choose Reconfigure Buttons:
Choose the button you would like to configure:
Choose what you would like the button to do:
- Run an Activity
- Toggle a light - choose a light that will switch change state (on/off) each time the button is pressed
- Control multiple lights
- Switch between the Home and Away mode
- Trigger an IFTTT event
If you chose Run Activity, choose the activity from the list:
If you chose toggle, choose a light to toggle:
If you are controlling Multiple Lights select the lights from the list:
- When you select the light the app will show you the current state of the light
- If you are setting a scene it is best practice to set the lights manually (you don't have to use the app) to the desired levels before programming the button. If the lights are at the desired levels, simply select the lights to control when the button is pressed.
- If the dim level is not your desired level, you can adjust the slider before pressing Next
The toggle Home/Away will light the button LED red when in away mode and off when home. See the article Can I randomize lighting to make my home look lived in when I'm away? As well, the Home and Away feature can be used with the IFTTT service.
The If This Then That service can tie the 4 button to numerous cloud services and products. When using IFTTT Trigger the button will send a message to the IFTTT service. The video IFTTT Integration with the My Leviton app and Decora Smart® Wi-Fi Devices provides additional information about the IFTTT service.
Press save and the button is configured.
