Dimmers typically turn on to 100% or they return to the last level. The Residence Night Settings allow the light level preset to be low level during night hours. This feature does not affect the dimmer during normal daytime hours. The dimmer will continue to turn on to a predefined level or continue to follow the default ‘return to last level.’ When using the Night Settings the user defined ‘night hours’ will change the preset on level to a setting that is more desirable for late night. This is a great feature for hallways and is a great replacement for nightlights. Night Settings are compatible with all My Leviton Wi-Fi dimmers but may require a firmware and/or app update prior to use. Please read the article Checking and Updating Firmware on Decora Smart® Wi-Fi Devices and update your app on your mobile device prior to setting up Residence Night Settings.
Choose the Menu Button in the upper corner of the My Leviton screen and then choose Locations.
Choose the residence for which you want to enable Night Settings and then choose Night Settings.
The Night Setting level will be active between the Start Time and End Time.
- The start time does not need to be when it becomes Dark (aka 'nighttime') it is when you would like your dimmers to come on at a different light level
- For many people this would be after you typically go to bed
- The end time is when you would like the dimmer preset level to return to normal dimmer operation
- For many this may be before you typically wake up or you may want to tie it to sunrise
- After living with Night settings you can always make adjustments until the preset levels work well with your lifestyle
Once you have defined the start and stop time for Residence Night Settings you can now change how each dimmer will react when they are turned on during night mode.
- Reminder: Dimmers may require a firmware update before the night mode is available
Press the options dots in the upper corner of the dimmer icon. Then choose Settings and then Advanced Settings.
Choose Night Settings and then change Night Preset Light Level from Disabled to Enabled. Change the Choose light level to the desired setting
